Neighborhood Story

Small town america turned suburbia, is an excellent description of modern day Madison Alabama. Once no more than a train station stop with a few residential homes, post office, hardware store, grocery store, and of course a barber shop originally named Madison Station.

Today due to rapid growth, Madison Al is its own municipality with its own School District and primarily serves as residential based suburb of Huntsville. In fact, with Huntsville’s aggressive annexation policies over recent years Madison has found itself almost completely surrounded by the City of Huntsville yet to date still maintains its own unique community identity.

Madison Alabama – A Residential Community

Madison Alabama is also well described as a large bedroom community, while there are a few commercial districts within city limits the township serves primarily as residential neighborhoods of high tech workers whose employment lies on eastern border of the city in Research Park and Redstone Arsenal. Thus it is not uncommon to view between 700 – 800 Madison AL homes for sale at any given time. Utilize the links below to explore all of our current inventory
